Loaned Executives — In order to enhance corporate community buy-in and to keep operational overhead to a minimum, United Way of Odessa utilizes the talents and determination of loaned executives to help raise revenue towards our campaign goals.
Loaned Executives are company-sponsored individuals dedicated to assisting the United Way during the campaign fundraising period. This unique process allows participating companies to further understand United Way’s community-based philosophical approach for addressing and solving some of its most pressing community issues.
Work-place dedicated Loaned Executives are requested to provide 8 hours per week for 10 weeks during the campaign fundraising period. This time is devoted exclusively to United Way’s business and makes a tremendous difference in the quality and efficiency of the various fundraising campaigns that our organization embarks upon.
Workplace Campaign Strategy — Now that you have been provided with a general overview of the United Way and our commitment to helping the community, we invite your company to get involved by conducting a workplace campaign and/or making a corporate contribution. It is not hard to do and United Way of Odessa will gladly assist you! If you are interested in helping our community by running a workplace campaign, the first step is to complete this workplace campaign letter of intent form and submit it to our office.
We will also provide you with short informational training sessions that are free to attend. These sessions are designed for both new campaign coordinators and seasoned veterans. You will leave the training session with all of the tools needed to run a successful United Way campaign.
If your company is not quite ready to participate in an employee workplace campaign, a corporate gift is always welcome. This process is very easy and not time consuming. First, we ask you to contact our local office. Secondly, you may remit payment by check or via our on-line credit card method.
Accordingly, United Way of Odessa’s staff will be in contact with you to answer any questions that you may have about running your employee campaign or making a contribution. For more information, contact United Way at (432) 332-0941.
