United Way of Odessa has received applications from local program providers. Over the next few weeks, volunteers will meet with applicants to recommend funded programs for 2012-13.

Early Campaign Planning Underway
5/14/12 Odessa, TX- Although the official United Way of Odessa annual campaign does not kickoff until August, planning
has already begun not only in our office but within local companies. Many companies have found that getting an
early start on worksite campaigns can take away a lot of stress during the fall. Give our office a call or email
Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
5/8/12 Odessa, TX- This Saturday, May 12, is the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger
Food Drive. The United States Post Office, in association with several national partners including United
Way Worldwide, will collect non-perishable food items for West Texas Food Bank.
2012-2013 Funding Cycle Underway
4/3/12 Odessa, TX- With the reciept of applications for funding from local program providers in hand, it is time
once again for volunteers from the United Way board of directors and the public in general to recommend the
funding of programs that will most significantally impact our communty. The allocations process is probably the
most difficult role for United Way volunteers but one of the most important.
Thank you to all of the volunteer panel members that have dedicated their time to decide the best use of donor
funds for the upcoming year.
Funding for 2012-2013 United Way of Odessa program providers will begin in July.
